Afrobeat mega star Tems is set to make her Caribbean performance debut this summer after being announced as the headline act for Barbados’ premiere music event- Tipsy Music Festival(TMF), which runs from July 20-21.

The Grammy-winning singer was confirmed as the headliner by event organisers on Wednesday.

“We are beyond excited to welcome Tems as our main headliner for Tipsy Music Festival 2024,” said the event organizers. “Her debut performance, not only in Barbados but in the Caribbean is going to be historic, and we know she’s going to deliver an unforgettable experience for all our festival-goers.”

The “Try Me” hitmaker is set to take the TMF stage on Day two of the event.

The addition of the Nigerian sensation bolsters an already stacked lineup, which includes dancehall star Shenseea and King of Soca, the legendary Machel Montano, as co-headliners of this year’s staging.

We’re thrilled to have Machel Montano and Shenseea join Tems as our co-headliners,” added the organizers. “This lineup is a dream come true for music fans, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience these incredible artists live at Tipsy Music Festival.

Montano will bring his high-energy performance and infectious beats. Shenseea, who is still reeling from the success of her smash single “Hit and Run” and the release of her sophomore album-“Never Gets Late Here,” is set to add excitement to the lineup.

With Tems’ Caribbean debut, Machel Montano’s electrifying soca vibes, and Shenseea’s dynamic performance, this year’s Tipsy Music Festival is scheduled to run from July 20-21 in Barbados!
