Jamaica continued its growing dominance in international Basketball after claiming both the U-23 men’s and women’s 3×3 titles at the Caribbean Cup.
The tournament, which concluded over the weekend, saw Jamaica affirm its presence as the dominant force in the regional sports, particularly basketball.
The women’s team kicked off the winning streak following a thrilling 13-11 over the hosts Bahamas, to clinch the gold in a nail-biting finale to conclude an unbeaten run in the tournament.
The men’s team also concluded the tournament with an equally thrilling encounter with a dramatic 16-14 victory over Haiti in their finals, which had to be settled in overtime, following a three-pointer in the dying moments to seal the victory and gold in a near-perfect run.
The results see adds to a monumental moment for the sport on the islands, who are coming off historic World Cup Qualifiers victories in at the FIBA Senior level
