At least two of the assailants who were said to be connected to Wednesday’s brazen daylight gas station robbery and shooting have reportedly been taken down by law enforcement following a shootout in the night.

According to reports, the deadly standoff occurred along the St. Johns Road in the Spanish area, hours following a manhunt and public appeal by police for the men to turn themselves in.

On Wednesday, the nation shared a collective sense of disturbance and anger following the Closed-Circuit Camera Television (CCTV) footage showing the robbers pulling up at a gas station on Deanery Road to steal money and shooting the female pump attendant before making their escape in a silver Toyota Probox.

It’s further reported that at least one of the men had surrendered to the Police following the appeal.
