The police have charged a 22-year-old man in relation to a fatal attack in the parking lot of a Burger King restaurant on Barbican Road in St Andrew last December.
The accused Garlon Holmes, otherwise called ‘Nippy’, has been charged with two counts of murder and wounding with intent.
The incident, captured on video on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at around 6:50 a.m., showed an intense argument between the occupants of a Nissan Tida motorcar and a Toyota Noah vehicle.
According to the police, the men in the Nissan Tida car were later joined by Holmes and other occupants travelling in a BMW X1 who subsequently attacked the occupants of the Nissan Tida with knives injuring three.
The police were later summoned, and the injured men were taken to hospital where two later identified as Ackeem Morgan and Kaheem Harris succumbed to their injuries while the third victim was admitted in stable condition.
Holmes was arrested on December 30 and later charged after being pointed out in an identification parade.
In the interim, a court date is being finalized for the accused.
