Spice, Govana, Pablo YG and Minister Marion Hall are among several noted names featured in Billboard’s “Reggae Dancehall and Fresh Picks of the Month” for June.

“Queen of Stage”– Spice continues to affirm the mass appeal of her diverse sound as her country/dancehall single –“Round Round” was among the recent releases from the genre to make a significant impact among the curator’s Billboard list.

The Busta Rhymes featured track which forms part of her highly anticipated “Mirror 25″ album set for an August 9 release, has been making the rounds on various charts including the top ten reggae songs on iTunes.

Speaking on albums, Govana, who recently released project-“Legacy” which opened in the top two Reggae Album charts continues to resonate among his global fan base with his debut entry “Saved By Psalm” ft Popcaan.

Divine reverence appeared to be a theme of June’s edition as former “Queen of the Dancehall Lady Saw”– now Minister Marion Hall makes her debut among the featured picks with- “Step”.

“Considering her journey from dancehall queen to an unfiltered Christian, who regularly speaks about her struggles with her faith, “Step” is appropriately aggressive. Somewhere between Richie Spice’s “Gideon Boot” and Kirk Franklin’s “Stomp,” the publication noted.

Dancehall sensation Pablo YG further verified his tag as one of the front runners among the new generation of Dancehall stars after securing his spot on the “fresh picks” with his spicey track “Birds & Bees” ft Lanae.

Fellow next-generation Dancehall star, Bayka shows that he’s always cooking up solid releases, as his single “1086” ft Najeeriii, is among the standout singles featured on the Billboard curated list. The inclusion adds to a successful 2024 for the Zimim Records-singed artiste-who also celebrated his chart-topping “Mob Ties” mixtape.

Other noted names on the featured list include Grammy winner Kabaka Pyramid who features on Nuttea‘s “Egaux“, iconic veteran Saxophonist Dean Fraser with “Belafonte Ghost”, fast-rising Reggae talent, Jah Lil with “Weak Men”.
