Veteran rapper Snoop Dogg has issued a response to a sexual assault allegation that was filed against him by a former employee.

On February 9, the accuser named Jane Doe, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles that the ‘Gin And Juice’ rapper along with his associate Bishop Don Magic Juan, had sexually assaulted her at a concert in Club Heat Ultra Lounge in California in May 2013.

The victim also sought the court to award her $10 million in damages

The rapper insists that the alleged encounter did not take place and is a part of a shakedown scheme.

A spokesperson for the rapper also noted that the allegations were fabricated.

“The allegations of sexual assault by Calvin Broadus (known as Snoop Dogg) are simply meritless,” the statement read.

“They appear to be a part of a self-enrichment shakedown scheme to extort Snoop Dogg right before he performs during this Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show,” the statement said.

“Her scheme involves concocting a legal claim as an anonymous ‘Jane Doe’ plaintiff, and, knowing full well it can be a public document, filing this complaint late Wednesday, only three days before the Super Bowl,” the statement continued.

“To be clear, Mr Broadus has never had any sexual encounter whatsoever with [the accuser],” the statement said.

“What is clear is that this shakedown scheme is disgraceful. This attempt to use the courts to advance this scheme is shameful too, and does a disservice to real victims who deserve to be believed,” the statement continued according to People.

Snoop Dogg also compounded this stance by posting on Instagram that the Jane Doe character is a gold digger and urges his fans to be careful during this gold digger season.

Meanwhile, the complaint filed by lawyer Matt Finkelberg describes Snoop’s Instagram post as obviously threatening against the plaintiff.
