The showdown between sprint world champions Shericka Jackson and Sha’Carri Richardson is set to be among the headline features at the Shanghai/Suzhou Diamond League when they clash over the women’s 200m in China on April 27.

Both sprinters were confirmed among a slew of high-calibre athletes via the event’s social media page.

The meet will be the first time Jackson and Richardson will square off over the distance since the 200 finals at last year’s World Championship in Budapest.

The two previously pulled out of the 2024 Miramar Invitational meeting on April 6, where they were set to make their respective season debuts.

Yohan Blake, Ackeem Blake, Fred Kerly and Christian Coleman are also expected to deliver fireworks when they take their blocks in the men’s 100m

Another sizzling showdown is expected in the hundreds when Jamaica’s Women’s 100m World Champion Danielle Williams and compatriot Olympic Bronze medalist Megan Tapper face world record holder Tobi Amusan of Nigeria.

Former Commonwealth Women’s 400m Champion Stephenie Ann Mcpherson will be the other Jamaican active on the day as she lines up in her pet even in Shanghai.
