Grammy award-winning Reggae superstars Shaggy and Sean Paul sizzled at the Cali Vibes Music Festival at the Marina Green Park on Saturday.

Both artistes left the audience craving for more as they dropped classics which remained revered among the seemingly newer generation of fans who have been enticed by the genre and culture.

Shaggy was first up, with a cool and chilled opening, with hits such as Strength Of A Woman, Angel, and Mr Boombastic, to seduce the crowd, who had no issues being kept compelled by vibe, before switching the tempo with In The Summertime.

The diamond-selling artiste was effortless in his delivery as the crowd hung to every lyric for their favorite song, proving why he maintains his credential as one of top tier pop/reggae acts in the world.

The standard was maintained as ‘Dutty Paul’ himself Sean Paul, raised the temperature a few degrees, literally and in song. The ‘Ever Blazing’ hitmaker did just that and delivered a musical inferno as the venue was kept active with a myriad of hits and high energy from the ‘Live and Living’ singer.

The Dutty Rock entertainment boss put on a clinic in performance. Between crowd interaction and selections, his set was among the most anticipated and well-received.

There’s an adage that says the ‘proof is in the pudding’ and following the performances, both singers would have validated why they remain among the most streamed and searched Jamaican artistes globally.
