Popular dancehall producer ShabDon is expected to appear in court on March 28 following the submission of an incomplete case file on the matter was reportedly expressed to courts this morning.
According to reports, it is said that the producer allegedly offered a $2 million payment to a police officer to remove a firearm from his vehicle in October of last year.
The accused, Linval Thompson, who was subsequently charged with breaching the Corruption Prevention Act, has had his bail extended as a result of the submission.
It is reported that officers intercepted the vehicle in which Thompson, along with a passenger named Romario Scott, were traveling on October 14, based on intelligence that two suspects were conspiring to commit a murder.
The report further suggests that Thompson went to the Criminal Investigations office to offer the complainant, an officer, $2 million to remove the gun from the vehicle before it was searched by experts.
The officer was shortly charged following a report by the complainant.
