A Major showdown in the men’s 100m is set for London as former National Champion Oblique Seville, World Indoor 60m Bronze Medalist Ackeem Blake and USA’s Olympic Champion Noah Lyles have been confirmed for the Diamond League stop on July 19.

The trio were among the confirmed headliners for the sprint, which also includes 200m Olympic Gold Medalist Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and the UK’s sprint star Zharnell Hughes.

The line is expected to provide an exciting rematch between Seville and Lyles, who will be meeting for the first time since last year’s Olympic finals in Paris. The two developed a fun rivalry after Seville’s now iconic look across to Lyles meters before beating him at the Racer’s Grand Prix in Kingston.

It’s also expected to provide a great assessment of the Jamaicans’ fitness levels after following reports of feeling a niggles prior to securing his spot at the World Championships.

Blake, who secured his ticket to the Tokyo-hosted World Championships with a top-three finish following a scintillating PB-9.88s, is expected to log another stellar performance with the potential of lowering that mark given the competition.

The race will also see Tebogo and Hughes aim to get back one over Lyles after both became scalps for the American in his season-opening 200m at the Monaco Diamond League on Saturday.
