Reggae singer Jo Mersa reportedly passes aged 31

The Marley family is said to have been plunged into a state of mourning following reports of the passing of Joseph Marley more popularly known by his stage name ‘Jo Mersa’ who’s the son of iconic Reggae producer Stephen Marley and grandson of the legendary Bob Marley.

According to reports, Mersa, 31, was reportedly found “unresponsive” inside a vehicle while in the United States.

Noted Journalist local Abka Fitz-Henley had tweeted the initial devasting news of the reggae singer’s passing.

South Florida radio station WZPP then took to Instagram to assert confirmation of the young Marley’s death, noting that said he died of an asthma attack.

The specific location of where the alleged asthma attack happened was however not stated.

Tributes have since begun to flow for the talented singer and producer with music streaming platform tidal tweeting their condolences

Minister of entertainment and culture the Honorable Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange also sent her condolences to the Marley family

Jo Mersa is known for songs such as Burn it down, Hurting inside, and Rock Swing.
