The Reggae Boyz are set to face Caribbean neighbours Grenada in an away friendly international in Grenada on January 18 as part of crucial preparations for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers playoffs in March.

The fixture was revealed by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) on Wednesday.

The squad for the upcoming fixture has yet to be confirmed.

The Boyz, who narrowly missed out on an automatic qualification in October, will be using the fixture to sharpen their preparations ahead of what is expected to be an intense intercontinental winner-take-all play-offs for that final spot.

Jamaica was drawn in playoff bracket one, where they will face New Caledonia on March 26 for a chance at facing Dr Congo/Nigeria in the final for the final qualification slot.

Should Jamaica qualify, they will be placed in Group K of the World Cup against the likes of Portugal, Columbia and Uzbekistan.

Kick-off time for the Jamaica vs Grenada fixture is slated for 4:00 pm.
