The Reggae Boyz are set to kick off their CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign when they tackle a tricky Guatemala team in a competitive Group C at the Dignity Health Sports Park on Monday.

The Boyz, who looked supreme as they secured the World Cup Qualification final round following last week’s 3-0 home win over the opposition, will enter the game on high on confidence and will be hoping to replicate that composure for a solid start to the tournament campaign.

History might also be on Jamaica’s side as the Caribbean team also got the better of the Central Americans during their 2005 Cup opener in a thrilling 4-3 victory following strikes from All-time men’s top scorer the late great Luton Shelton, Andy “Bomber” Williams, midfield maestro- Jermaine Hue and the skillful Rircardo Willey Bue” Fuller.

That game will be the first of three fixtures in Group C, which also includes Guadeloupe and 2023 finalist Panama on June 20 and 24, respectively.

Kick off time for Reggae Boyz vs Guatemala clash is set for 9:00 pm.
