Caribbean Football Kingpins Jamaica will aim to make it back-to-back wins in their World Cup Qualifiers resumption when they host Guatemala in what is expected to be a testing fixture at the National Stadium on Tuesday.

The Boyz, who opened their qualifiers with a narrow 1-0 win over the British Virgin Islands(BVI) on Saturday (June 7) in the BVI, will be hoping for a more dominant performance in front of a home crowd.

The squad, which will also feature a solid mix of youthful talent and experienced players, is again expected to provide some excitement for the home crowd, who will get to see the tactical imprint of new head coach Steve McClaren in a high-pressure scenario firsthand.

Jamaica has experienced a fairly good run since the Englishman’s tenure began last year, with several encouraging performances, most recently their Unity Cup finals appearance in the UK, with an understrength squad. The team narrowly edged out for the Cup via a 5-4 penalty loss to Nigeria in that classic encounter.

Victory for Jamaica in Tuesday’s fixture will see them replace opponents Guatemala as Group E leaders in Qualifying.

The kick-off time is set for 6:00 pm.
