Reggae Boyz midfielder Omari Hutchinson is set for a return to English top-flight football after scoring in Ipswich Town’s 2-0 over Huddersfield to seal their promotion to the English Premier League on Saturday.

Hutchinson’s goal came in in the 48th minute to double Ipswich Town’s lead after Wes Burns gave them a first-half advantage in minute 27.

The Jamaican showed pace and control after making a darting run toward the box from the midfield before ‘ripping’ a powerful right-footed strike into the left corner of Huddersfield’s goal to make it 2-0.

The Goal, Hutchinson’s 10th of the season, adds to a stellar debut spell in the championship for the on-loan Chelsea player who has been a marque player in Ipswich Town’s march to league promotion.

The win sees Ipswich Town secure second place in the Championship on 96 and join winners Leicester City as advancers to next season’s premiership.

The promotion means the Reggae Boyz complement in England’s Premier division could rise to five, with Aston Villa star Leon Bailey and Michail Antonio of Westham United already safe for next season while defender Amari’i Bell of Luton Town remains in contention safety.

Fellow Chelsea youth player Dujuan “Whisper” Richards is pressing for league debut next season.
