R&B/Soul icon D’Angelo reportedly dies at 51

The music world is now in a state of mourning, following reports of the passing of R&B/Soul icon D’Angelo on Tuesday at the age of 51.

According to reports, the singer sadly succumbed to his private battle with prostate cancer.

The “Brown Sugar” hitmake,r who had a commanding presence in entertainment in the early 2000s, both for his talented vocal range as well as his image as an R&B heartthrob.

D’ Angelo bagged four Grammys, which included Best R&B Album for “Voodoo” in 2001 and “Black Messiah” in 2016, also scoring Best R&B Song and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for “Really Love” and “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” in 2016.

Despite all his accolades and achievements, he may be best known for his iconic border pushing “Untitled” music video, in which where appeared to bare it all in the visuals, which had remained a topic of discussion for all the ladies and perhaps the subject of annoyance for the fellas.

He is survived by three children, two sons, and a daughter.
