Football superstar Raheem Sterling has seemingly confirmed his exit from Premier League giant Arsenal, signalling a likely Chelsea return as his season-long loan spell concluded in June.
Sterling clued fans into the update following what appeared to be a farewell carousel post of various moments of the season, thanking Arsenal for their hospitality toward him and his family on Wednesday.

The former PFA Young Player of the Year, who has had a mixed season at Arsenal by his standards, helped Arteta’s “Gunners” to second place in the League and the Champions League semifinals, including a man-of-the-match performance in the quarters.

Sterling, who joined the “Gunners” at the beginning of the season following a turbulent relationship with the then-new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca over limited inclusion in team action.
The England and World Cup semifinalist currently has two years remaining on his current deal with the “Blues”. Maresca previously noted that his focus orbits around a condensed squad, which has seen several players frozen out of first-team consideration last season.
It remains unclear the Sterling or the club will push for another loan spell or permanent move, or if the winger will be included in Maresca‘s plans by adding depth to the team, which will be playing Champions League football next season.
