Police still searching for three juvenile escapees

The police have confirmed that a search is still on for the three juveniles who reportedly escaped from the Rio Cobre Juvenile Correctional Centre at Tredegar Park, Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

According to the centre, the three boys who escaped are 16 year old who is of Hatchfield Housing Scheme, Westmoreland, and is charged with Unlawful Wounding and Robbery with Aggravation. 

The other, 17 and is of Mark Road, Georges Plain, Westmoreland, and is charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Wounding with Intent.

The third, also 17, and is of Wakeland Drive, Falmouth, Trelawny, is charged with Escaping Custody. 

Their names are, however, being withheld because they are minors.

The escape took place on Saturday, May 27 at about 12:30 in the afternoon.

The police say they were all coming from lunch when the boys escaped by jumping over a perimeter fence.
