The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) has announced that it will continue to monitor the local labour force to determine if it will be able to sustain growth in the country’s economy.

The matter was raised during the Institute’s quarterly press conference Thursday morning.

In light of the concern, PIOJ’s Director General, Dr. Wayne Henry pointed to various efforts to ensure a sustained labour force which includes training.

This he says will be sustained with the work and offerings of the Ministries of Labour and Education.
