A former Ohio teacher has pleaded guilty to engaging in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy who she met while teaching at the Liberty Junior School.
The accused, Ana D’Ettorre, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual misconduct with a minor and one count of sharing material harmful to juveniles.
Official reports state that the relationship began after the pair exchanged provocative messages on Snapchat on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
The report further outlined that the pair would often meet outside of school hours and in one instance, D’Ettorre arranged for the teenager to meet her at her house for a romantic rendezvous.
The teen also confirmed the encounter by sharing with the police during an interview in November that he snuck out of his home to have sex with D’Ettorre three times.
Shortly after, an arrest warrant was issued for the accused; D’Ettorre later turned herself into the police and confessed to her role in the scandalous twist with the minor.
A Butler County grand jury indicted D’Ettorre on a felony charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and 11 counts of disseminating material harmful to juveniles.
A judge set her bond at $10,000 in court last December. She has been ordered to stay away from the victim and have no unsupervised contact with children.
As it now stands, D’Ettorre faces a maximum of 2 years imprisonment and will also have to register as a Tier 2 sex offender.
