SLEEK’s #RefreshingAct is Lovers Rock Reggae singer Chris Malachi who has released a new track titled “Cool & Easy” where he expresses that he wants a smooth kind of love, filled with peace and happiness.

The song hears Malachi explaining his ups and downs in love and that this time he is focused on something more mature.

In an interview with SLEEK Entertainment, he said “The song is an expression of the type of love I want to give and receive more of.”

For him, that “Type of love gives you life and energy because you both took the time to be intentional, communicate effectively, be honest, work on yourselves, then learn to love each other unselfishly, with respect and compassion.”

Malachi notes “When all these things are done, it’s refreshing in a world where it seems like “toxicity” is highlighted more than anything else.”

Cool & Easy is a collaborative project with producers “The Autos” from Denver, Colorado, USA.

Malachi said “They reached out to me via social media and I was already familiar with their work with a good artiste friend of mine, Royal Blu. They sent me the riddim and I wrote the song and recorded it in Jamaica.”

Musicians on the track include Paris LaMont (from Protoje’s Indiggnation Band) on keyboards, CHLLNGR on saxophone, Courtni Jackson on background harmonies and many more.

Meanwhile, for 2024, Malachi indicated that his supporters can expect more Reggae singles.

For those who don’t know, Chris Malachi, came to the ears of Jamaicans and the world during COVID with several singles as he searched for that song.

He seemingly found that song in 2022/23 when he released the single “Graveyard” which speaks of striving for excellence despite the challenges.
