Precocious teen talent Dujaun ‘Whisper’ Richards has his sights fixed on bagging his first goal for Jamaica when the Reggae Boyz tackles Trinidad and Tobago in their second friendly international at the National Stadium on Tuesday.
Richards,17, who made his debut against Trinidad and Tobago in game one on Sunday, assured fans that he will place his name on the scoresheet in Tuesday’s fixture.
“I got two chances, but next time I’ll finish them,” he said while speaking to ‘This or That‘ Sports TV.
The talismanic teen, who recently signed a pre-contract with the English Premier League club, Chelsea also shared his anticipation in playing with future club-mate Omari Hutchinson on his debut.
“He’s a good teammate, he’s good personal wise, its good to be with a Jamaican, two Jamaicans[Raheem Sterling the other] at one team and I’ll see if I can adapt quickly.”
Richards will be seeking to break into the squad for the Reggae Boyz CONCACAF Nations League game against Mexico on March 26 at the Estadio Azteca, Mexico.
Given that the game will be an official FIFA date, the return of several regular starters such as Leon Bailey, Michail Antonio, Damion Lowe, and Andre Blake among others are expected for that encounter.
That game will also be the first time coach Hallgrimsson is expected to have a full-strength squad since officially taking the reigns last year.
