Infused by a blend of music, art, fashion, food, and culture the ‘New Wave Block Party’ returned Sunday night at a new location, the Summit in Kingston.

The new era of reggae music took center stage as several corporate brands from food, clothing, and beverage companies were on display.

The event is a partnership between “Very Culture” and “New Wave”, celebrating Jamaica’s cultural pillars known and loved globally.

It started with several upcoming DJs warming up the crowd, playing music from Amapiano, Afro-beats, hip-hop (pop), and reggae.

New Wave, however, became ‘spicy’ when Brush 1 and Franco took over the turntables as they brought a different type of energy which had patrons dancing and singing non-stop.

Additionally, patrons were treated to live performances from rising reggae pop singers Amanya, Tessellated, Friday Night Cru, Ras-I, and special pop-up by established artistes Jessie Royal and Protoje.
