Argentina World Cup-winning captain Lionel Messi is set to remain in Paris for at least another year after reportedly agreeing to a contract extension with French champions Paris Saint Germaine (PSG).

According to reports, Messi, who is currently in the second season of his current two-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions, has agreed verbally to the additional year(s) of playing in the ‘Parisian’ jersey.

The 7-time Ballon D’Or winner whose future at the club was up in the air prior to the World Cup as he wanted to focus on the tournament has seemingly solidified France as his base for the near future.
