It was nothing but good music and good vibes as patrons at BZR WKND’s unlimited 90s party, Memba Dis came out in their numbers dressed the part, and danced all night even when the music stopped.

Memba Dis was held at the famous Holy Smokes in Kingston and was the perfect setting for those who came with a crew or rolled out solo.

The event lived up to its name ‘Memba Dis’ with some of the best 90’s DJs; the original 90s radio and party boss Jazzy T kicked it off with a bit of Motown, electric hip-hop energy with a touch of dancehall.

Then, DJ Delano from the iconic Renaissance Sound – took patrons on more than just a journey, it was an experience filled with many saying to themselves and friends “Wow, memba Dis chune?” and for Delano, it was easy for him to connect the dots of age with an audience fully mixed but heavily under 30.

It was then time for international tour DJ Ricky Platinum, who took the party to a whole another level – pulling off every genre but heavily influenced by 90s dancehall. He also had a few surprises as Capella Grey who is known for his international hit single “Gyalis” is in Jamaica for the Chris Brown Live concert set for Sunday, performed and connected with patrons.

Ricky Platinum also surprised patrons once again when he pulled Dyani from the crowd to treat the ladies with his Jada Kingdom hit collaboration Feelings – this had the ladies screaming endlessly while some videoed his performance.

For BZR WKND promoter Ryan Burke, it was a successful start to the weekend, and told SLEEK he is happy as it will be a “historic time in Jamaica” especially with the other event to come and the “big show, Chris Brown and friends” which will be at the national stadium in Kingston.
