Football stars Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbape and Neymar Jr, seemed to have all put their reported differences aside to register goals in PSG’s 7-1 hammering of Lille in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.
The trio, who on paper present arguably the most lethal attack in Europe gave a glimpse of that venom as all three added to their league tally in Imperious show of dominance and fluidity which finally, verifies the names on the team list.
The man at the center of PSG’s latest debacle, star man Mbape, made just as big a headline as the week before, after netting a hattrick.
Mbape, who attracted criticism, for his work ethic, quickly went to work on challenging that notion. How quick? In just 8 seconds.
That’s how long it took for him to open his account and PSG’s account in the game setting a record as the fastest goal in Ligue 1 history.
That first minute strike seemed to be had been a premonition of what was to come as the France International deposited a double in the second half. His second coming in the 66th minutes before completing his hattrick fittingly with final goal in minute 87th.
In between that excitement however, Messi and Neymar also provided some the star moments goals at either ends of the pitch.
Messi deposited a PSG’s second goal in minute 27 before Neymar copped his brace in the 43rd and 52nd minutes as the champs moved out of sight from the Lile.
Striker Achrarf Hakimi was also on the scoresheet 39th minute as all the four attacking players ended with on a high.
The win pushed PSG’s lead to two points after registering their third successive victory.
