Reggae Boyz prospect striker Mason Greenwood scored two goals in one minute to help Marseille beat Toulouse 3-1 as he continues his imperious form in the French Ligue 1.

Greenwood scored in the 16th and 17th minutes following an unrelenting siege by Marseille in the opening 20 minutes.

The 22-year-old showed composure and sharpness to deliver a well-placed strike, running from the left side to open the scoring, before doubling his tally 60 seconds later with a powerful right footer to finish off a brilliant counter by the league leaders on the break, making it 2-0.

The result was virtually concluded following a 52nd-minute own goal by Charlie Cresswell to make it 3-0, which stood until the 90th minute as Shavy Babicka pulled a goal back for Toulouse as the game ended 3-1.

Greenwood now moves his tally to five goals from his first three Ligue 1 games, matching Mario Balotelli’s 2016 record with Nice.

The former Manchester United wonder kid has been heavily linked to representing the Reggae Boyz in their quest for World Cup qualification following recent reports that he has begun the process of switching allegiance to Jamaica.
