Fans of dancehall star Masicka will now have another avenue of interaction with the deejay after he officially joined the fastest-rising social media app on TikTok.

The Genahsyde topman announced the activation of his official profile via his Instagram stories on Tuesday.

The newly Def Jam-signed artiste whose main outlet of interaction with his fans-whether it is updates, previews, or even lives has been via IG.

However, given the increasingly massive global influence, Tik Tok has on breaking songs or boosting its popularity among other utilities, the move is suspected to be part of a larger strategy by the label to leverage the medium to further expand his music to a larger audience.

The pieces hitmaker has already attracted more the 7,000 followers and 9,800 likes since its activation on Tuesday.

His announcement has racked up over 84,000 plays with the snippet of his video for Pieces logging 5800 plays thus far.

Masicka is currently preparing to release his highly anticipated follow-up album to 2021’s critically acclaimed ‘438’ this year, which will be the first as Def Jam-signed act.
