Man shot by firearm holder outside workplace

Old hope Road in the vicinity of Cross Roads tax office is now a crime scene following the bizarre shooting of an Azan employee, allegedly by a licensed firearm holder. 

The incident happened outside the establishment.

Investigators have now cordoned sections of the busy thoroughfare and are carrying out their probe.

Sleek Jamaica Media understand that an argument developed after the employee’s foot was run over by the motor vehicle being driven by the licensed firearm holder.

A security guard who works at an adjacent location said, “Is like an accident, him run over him foot and him lick the window hard and say u nuh see wah gwan and them mi hear blow blow blow.”

It is not clear of the status of the injured man as he was quickly rushed to hospital.

A passerby told Sleek Jamaica Media that loud explosions rang out sending persons for cover.

The incident occurred about 1:45pm.

Motorist are advised to use alternative roadways or expect delays.

The St Andrew Central police are investigating.
