April was the month of 4:20 and herbalists from all walks of life ‘light up’ in solidarity and celebrate the highly controversial marijuana. Shampagne took this time to archestrate a project that’s all about ‘high’ fashion- this project was released on May 1st.

This project will stand as a debut for Shampagne as a creative director. The local designer, owner of Seoaraco and professional stylist is the concept creator, creative director, stylist and makeup artist for ‘high fashion’.

SLEEK sat down with Shampagne,  and she shared that because marijuana is such a big part of Jamaican culture, she wanted to highlight it as something more and make it fashion.

She also shared that she wanted to show the comparison between how marijuana makes people feel despite its reputation and how women are treated in a similar light.

The model in the campaign, Kadiya Mcdonald, is also an important aspect because she is one of two professional skateboarders on the island and is also a model with Hurley Sports in California.

This shoot will feature, one in a kind pieces that may be available however it is definitely a campaign says the Seoraco boss. The shoot took place at Freedom Skate Park. The creativity and stars aligned in such a way for this shoot because this concept, creation and execution took place in four days. Shampagne is showing the world how quick magic can happen.
