2019 Champions League winner Liverpool dismissed Inter Milan 2-0 in their champions league first leg to take control of their round of 16 fixture in Milan, Italy on Wednesday.
The Reds left it late to secure the result in Italy, with the pair of Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah bagging the goals on the scoring in the last 15 minutes to break the hearts of the Italian champions.
The Brazilin Firmino, broke in the 75th minute through an Andy Robinson assist to finish off the persistent pressure by Jurgen Klopps men.
That pressure was increased to the very end as African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Finalist Salah put the game to bed six minutes from time to ensure Liverpool would travel to England with a commanding advantage in the reverse fixture in Liverpool.
