Jamaica’s Ronald Levy and Hansle Parchment are through to the men’s 110m hurdles final, while Damion Thomas missed out at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games a short while ago.

Only the top two from each semi-final and the two fastest non-automatic qualifiers make up the eight lanes for the final.

Levy, the national champion, running from lane seven in semi-final one, was fast over the first few obstacles but came under pressure in a line of five athletes across the track at the halfway point.

However, he responded well to rally late and stick his head in front in 13.23s in a blanket finish.

As he did in the heats, Thomas, ran from lane eight in the second semi-final and was again slow from the blocks. He produced a late burst of speed to take third in 13.39s but was not quick enough to progress.

Parchment, running from lane six in the last semi-final,  was slow into stride but after making up ground, was again comfortable and smooth overall 10-flight of obstacles to ease across the line in second in 13.23s.

He was again behind the fast-starting American Grant Holloway, who won in 13.13s.
