Reggae Boyz striker Leon Bailey was on target for Aston Villa as they beat Scottish team Hibernian 5-0 in their Europa Conference League playoffs on Wednesday.

Bailey scored Villa’s third goal in the 42nd minute to complete a dominant first half by the Premier League outfit, including a brace by striker Ollie Watkins.

The Jamaican delivered a ferocious header from a cross in the goal area as the Hibernian keeper helplessly watched the ball whizzed into the goal.

It was the second goal in as many games for the Jamaican, who opened his account for the season in Villa’s 4-0 thrashing of Everton last Sunday.

Watkins returned in the 48th minute to complete his hattrick with a one-time volley inside the box before a Duglaz Ruiz penalty sealed the result for the London club.

Villa will seek to close out the fixture when they host the return leg next Thursday at Villa Park. Before that, however, they’ll test their wits against Burnley in the premiership at Turf Moor on Sunday.
