Ukrainian Officials say Russia is prepared to launch an attack on the capital city of Kyiv.

This sentiment comes after an advisor to the Interior Minister warned on social media that it could become “the hardest day in the war”.

The adviser also noted that they were ready to defend Kyiv with anti-missile supplied by other nations.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at least 130 people have been killed and more than 300 wounded.

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said the country’s airborne assault troops blew up three bridges to prevent a column of Russian forces from advancing on the capital.

A senior US Defense Department Official said three lines of Russian troops and military forces were moving swiftly toward Ukrainian cities, with two of them headed toward Kyiv.

The official also cautioned that this is the initial phase of a large-scale invasion.

President Zelensky has vowed to stay in Kyiv, noting that the enemy has listed him as the number one target and his family the second.

In addition, US President Joe Biden has promised that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, will bear the consequences of choosing war.

President Biden also unveiled further sanctions that will target five major Russian banks.
