International Dancehall star Kranium confirmed that he is no longer an Atlantic records-signed artiste after announcing his departure from the major US-based record label on Thursday.

“..we finally come to an end of a dope partnership thanks to the Atlantic team and everyone that supported me .. A “NEW” journey has officially begin! #freedom #vibes #newyork,” Kranium shared via his social media on Thursday afternoon.

The ‘Lifestyle’ hitmaker who signed to the label in 2015, reflected on his success during his time with Atlantic.

“Over a Billion steam !! 3 silver in the UK! Certified Gold in America ! 3 Certified Gold and a Platinum in Canada that’s not a easy mountain to climb and we did that,” he wrote.

The ‘Nobody Has to Know’ hitmaker also noted that while he had some good achievements over the years, there was also turbulence and he thanked representatives who fought for his cause and support during those periods.

“although I had a lot of great moments I had terrible experience in the mix and thats what comes with taking chances !! With that being said I wanna thank @breeroyal_ for fighting for me in that building!” he added to the post.

While he didn’t share if he will remain an independent artiste or has plans to go to another major label, the overall feeling by the singer is of relief and excitement as he posed with his plaques of certifications.

Kranium’s break-out hit ‘Nobody Has to Know’ is certified Gold in the United States, platinum in Canada, and Silver in the United Kingdom.

While his ‘Can’t Believe’ collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign and Wizkid, and ‘We Can’, with Tory Lanez, have both earned gold status in Canada.
