Koffee goes platinum in UK with Toast

Reggae sensation Koffee has added another plaque to her list of accolades as her 2018 break-out hit ‘Toast’ achieved platinum status in the UK.

According to the British Phonographic Industry, which certifies registered music sales in the UK, Toast officially crossed into platinum territory on Friday (February 10, 2023) for registered sales exceeding 600,000 units.

This is the sixth certification for the hitmaker in the UK and the third for the single which went officially went gold in the UK on January 22, 2021.

Other Certifications by the BPI include- W featuring rapper Gunna and Repeat (Jhus ft-Koffee), both tracks earning silver status for sales of at least 200,000 units.

Koffee also went silver with Rapture- the title track for Grammy award-winning EP of the same name. All the above-mentioned singles were certified in 2021.

The West Indies hitmaker, who delivered her second Grammy-nominated album last year with Gifted, has been on several festivals and has featured in several projects including lacing songs for movie and video game soundtracks.
