NBA superstar Lebron James marked his first game back since breaking the all-time scoring record with a win after leading the LA Lakers to a comfortable 120-102 dismissal of the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.

James who broke Karim Abdul Jabbar’s 39-year record for most points last week added 21 more to the new record for a relatively stress-free return for the king.

James’ 21 points were matched by new acquisition Di Angelo Russell who also had 21 on the night to support a team effort by Anthony Davis who posted a ‘double-double’-28 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lakers were relatively unbothered in the game bagging three of four quarters -38-25 in the first,34-24 in the second, and 31-27 in the fourth, only dropping the second quarter 17-26.

The win, their 27th of the season is also their four in six games and provides good momentum for the former champions going into the all-star break.
