Dancehall artiste Kaseeno seems to be finding familiar ground as a trending topic in local social conversations as discussions around his drastic change in appearance and genre have seemingly received traction.

The artiste, who shot to prominence last week due to his unconventional meme-worthy image, mainly about his haircut and facial profile, was again the subject of scrutiny after pictures surfaced of the drastic transition of how he looked.

The now-viral pictures which have circulated online show what seems to be a significantly darker, more modest image of the artiste dated at least five years prior. The images are suggestive of significant skin bleaching by the artiste who now sports a lighter profile.

Despite the shocking contrast of then and now pictures, what is more surprising is the revelation that he seemed to have been a Gospel artiste before his venture into hard-core dancehall.

In fact, he appeared to be a finalist in the Jamaica Gospel Song Competition under the name Vylmark Hamilton.

Checks on check on the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) page showed his song entry-title ‘Too Late’.

While he isn’t the first person to seemingly stray from that path, given the nature of his music, when he began to attract attention, the vast transformation to his current look provides significant talking points.

It was also unearthed that he took on the moniker of ‘Maxibillian’ before making his final change to Kaseeno, which again was an interesting discovery.

While it is unknown whether or not he’ll change his image again or music genre it is clear he’s doesn’t believe it’s too late to get a break in the industry.
