Influential Italian midfielder Jorginho will be playing his football on the red side of London come February following his deadline day transfer from Chelsea to Arsenal on Tuesday.
According to reports, Chelsea has accepted a £10m fee plus £2m add-ons for the Midfielder in a one-year deal that runs until 2024 with the option to extend for a further year.
Noted football journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the news, noting that personal terms between the player and the gunners were reached with first contact being made between the two parties on Monday night.
Jorginho, 31, is set to take his medical at Arsenal today in order to conclude the deal.
Known over the year at Stamford Bridge as mister reliable the former Chelsea man is seen as a key player in Mikel Arteta’s push to steer Arsenal to the finish line in the title race this season.
Arsenal currently leads the EPL in the standings by five points over champions Manchester City at the halfway stage.
