Jamaica Women’s Premier League Champions Frazsiers Whip will aim for a rebound in the CONCACAF Women’s Champions Cup when they tackle Mexican giants Monterrey Group A on Thursday.

The Jamaicans, who kicked off the historic tournament with a loss to Costa Rican outfit Alajuelense last month, have shown competitiveness in their CONCACAF debut and are expected to deliver more resolve against the Mexicans.

Frazsiers Whip and Alajuelense players battle for the ball during the tournament’s opening fixture.

Team Courtney Dowdie speaking to the media ahead of their departure this week also expressed confidence in a solid performance by his team, having gotten a taste of what to expect from competition at that level.

A win for Frazsiers could see them move from the foot of the table to third with three points if other results of match week two go their way.

Alajuelense currently leads the group on three points followed by Tigres with an inferior goal average.

The Frazsiers Whip vs Monterrey fixture is set for a 9:00 pm kick-off.
