Jamaican sprint sensation and Louisiana State University (LSU) star Brianna Lyston is reportedly moving up from the collegiate ranks to officially become a professional athlete.
According to reports, the 2024 60m NCAA Champion indicated her decision to abbreviate her college career in a recent letter to the school’s head coach, Dennis Shaver.
It’s further understood that Lyston is set to continue her athletics journey as an Adidas Athlete to whom she signed a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL)deal in 2024.

The 20-year-old who has had a delayed outdoor season due to a reported slight injury has had a sensational collegiate career with LSU, being a three-time SEC Champion in addition to her NCAA title.
The Jamaican will also exit her college as LSU’s 60m record holder indoors (7.03s), second all-time NCAA outdoors (7.03), as well as school record holder in both 100 and 200m with 10.91s and 22.31s respectively.
