Jamaica’s men’s team secured its spot in the 4x100m relay after comfortably winning their semi-final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games a short while ago.
The Jamaican quartet of Jevaughn Minzie, Julian Forte, Yohan Blake, and Oblique Seville won in an easy 37.82s ahead of Great Britain (38.02s) and Japan (38.16s).
Running from lane five, Minzie gave the Jamaicans a decent start before passing the baton to Forte. From there the exchanges were smooth with Blake making the final change over to a confident-looking Seville, who glanced at both sides before easing across the line.
The final is scheduled for Friday at 8:50 am.
