Jaheel Hyde aiming for glory in 400m Hurdles finals

National 400-meter champion Hurdles Jaheel Hyde will be aiming to secure his first World Championship medal, when he lines up in the 400 meters finals on Tuesday night in Eugene Oregon.

Hyde 25, who’s a two-time Olympic semi-finalist, will be looking to make a major statement after earning a spot amongst the very best in the world over the distance.

The Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, who has done yeoman’s to qualify for tonight’s grand finale, will represent Jamaica’s lone medal prospects in one of the most stacked line up ever.

In a race which has seven of the eight fastest runners this year including world leader Brasil’s Alisson Dos Santos (46.80s), world record holder Karsten Warholm of Norway who posted the fifth fastest (47.82s), the Jamaican is at the very least expected to Pb in this final.

 Hyde who has shown decent control his management the rounds, thus far, has the 12th fastest clocking this year with 45.81 seconds. He most likely will need to replicate that form n order to challenge the top brass in being among the top finishers.

The two-time World Youth and World junior champions is set to line up outside of Dos Santos in Lane 7 which could act a good rabbit for Hyde to gauge his race strategy.

The race is expected is expected to bring an exciting conclusion to an action packed fifth day at the Championships
