iPhone 6 models are among several devices that will reportedly no longer be supported by popular messaging app WhatsApp this year.

According to a report from CanalTech, the iPhone 6, 6s and 6se are among the 36 devices, including phones from Samsung, Lenovo and Huawei, that will no longer work with the application in 2024.

Currently, WhatsApp only recommends its usage on iPhones running on iOS 12 (or later) for users of Android users operating systems with Android 5.0 (or later) is suggested.

This new recommendation, by default, will rule out all devices running preceding operating systems once following the app’s next update later this year.

Phone models reportedly set to lose support.
