Infant found dead in Croft’s Hill Clarendon

The Croft’s Hill Police are now investigating the death of a one-year-old infant who was discovered unresponsive in the Pedro River in the parish of Clarendon yesterday.

Reports from the Croft’s Hill Police Station outlined that a call was made at 3:30 p.m. that a toddler was discovered floating on a bed in the Pedro River.

Subsequently, both parents were taken into custody. The child’s body was also taken to the morgue for a postmortem.

This is the second death, which was reported from the Croft’s hill district since the start of the week.

On Sunday, a 13-year-old student from the Kellits High School, Omarion Haniford, was stabbed to death by his uncle.

According to police reports, at 9:15 a.m. the teen was attacked and stabbed several times.

Subsequently, the teen was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

No motive has since been established for the killing..
