Holness donates $5 million to UWI and UTech

Prime Minister Andrew Holness through his Positive Jamaica Foundation and the Jamaica Labour Party Education Fund, has donated a total of $5 million to the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the University of Technology (UTech).

The donations were handed over personally by the Prime Minister on Friday, November 26, to the schools.

Through his Positive Jamaica Foundation, Prime Minister Holness donated $1 million to the UTECH and UWI respectively.


In the meantime, Prime Minister Holness also donated $1.5 million each to both universities through the Jamaica Labour Party Education Fund. This is the third year running that he has made such donations to the universities.
