Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino is reportedly set to depart his long-time club Liverpool when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Firmino, who joined the Reds in 2015 in a £29m move from Hoffenheim, opted against a contract extension, instead, deciding along with his family to be a free agent at the end of the season, as per Sky Sports.

During his eight years at the club, he along with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane formed one of Europe’s deadliest attacking line-ups.

The trio helped Liverpool win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and Club World Cup.

A string of injuries, however, saw his time on the field significantly reduced.

The arrivals of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and most recently Cody Gakpo further relegated the forward to a benched player.

He has made 353 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 107 goals and providing 70 assists thus far.

Firmino has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season, netting times nine times while providing four assists.
