The worker died on a farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario, Canada

In a statement, the Ministry said an initial report from the Jamaican Liaison Service in Canada, confirmed that it received notification at approximately 7:25 A.M. on May 26, that the farmworker did not awake that morning, and that efforts by paramedics to resuscitate the worker were unsuccessful.

The worker is said to be a 32-year-old male who is a first-time migrant worker.
