Erling Haaland continues to rewrite the history books in the English Premier League after becoming the first player to score against all 23 teams faced following his hattrick performance in Manchester City’s 4-1 thrashing of Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Haaland, who opened his account in City’s season-opening 2-0 win over Chelsea last Sunday, needed just 12 minutes to add to his tally on Saturday following a penalty conversion to restore parity after Sam Szmodics put Ipswich ahead after seven minutes.

That goal, Haaland’s 66th from 65 Premier League games was also a record-extending 23rd team the Norwegian sensation has scored against in just his second season at the club.

Haaland added to his tally four minutes later after effortlessly dispatching a delightful Kevin De Dryune chip inside the box with a powerful left footer to make it 3-1, following De Bruyne’s 14th-minute strike which doubled their lead.

Despite near misses for a third goal in the first half, Haaland would not be denied after delivering a stunning low finish in the 88th minute to complete his 10th city hattrick to make it 4-1, where it stood for the remainder of the game.

The win is City’s second in as many games to maintain the top standing with six points.
