It was a diplomatic affair at Valiant’s ‘4:14’ mixtape launch on Tuesday as some of dancehall’s finest as well as top industry personalities came through to support the event which was hosted at Kingston’s hotspot, MECA.

From artistes and disc jocks to producers and politicians, the ‘4:14′ mixtape launch pulled a wide cross-section and top-tier patronage to make make it arguably the Mecca of entertainment on Tuesday. The launch of Valiant’s mixtape shows his growing stature as a major figure in music.

During an emotional speech about his mixtape, the artiste noted his deliberate angle of pushing unity in his music which is reflected on the project. There’s a mix of both fast-rising artistes as well as established names in the dancehall sphere.

That Unity reciprocated in the turnout for the launch, as several of the industry’s big names came through to show their support of the effort by Valiant.

The likes of Ding Dong Ravers, Kranium, Lincoln 3dot, Stalk Ashley, and Kraff among others were present to share in the celebratory moment.

The diplomatic presence isn’t just reserved for the somewhat shy artiste and his entourage, as the Minister of Entertainment, Honourable Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange joined in the festivities and also share her thoughts about her ‘favorite nephew.’

Valiant also expressed gratitude for the support in a light-hearted moment while on stage with Minister Grange much to the roars of approval by the crowd inside the MECA.

Speaking with SLEEK entertainment about what to expect from the ‘4:14’ mixtape, Valiant shared that it is one of the most diverse compositions of music as he expresses versatility on the multi-genre ‘tape.

Beyond being a debut project, the mixtape’s release holds personal significance to the “St. Mary” hitmaker which represents his journey to his current stage in the industry.

He also teased that ‘4:14‘ is an appetizer for an upcoming EP.

If the EP is anything like the mixtape, fans are certainly in for a treat of musical diversity and creative range from Valiant.

The ‘4:14’ mixtape launch was a resounding success <–SLEEK certified – and set a strong precedence for not just the EP and hopefully soon a full-length album.
